Where is Lapataganj

Lapataganj is a comedy series started sometime back on sab TV. This show started out as a series adapted from the writings of Sharad Joshi but now it seems to be having some new scripts too along with the original Sharad Joshi's writings.

Lapataganj is a small town located somehwhere in north india. (looking at the vehicle's number plate, I guess it is in UP). This town is deprived of even the basic necessities like water, electricity roads etc.

But the people here don't complain for anything rather they are pretty happy, in-fact they seem to be the happiest people in the world. Lapataganj looks like a different world altogether where everybody is happy.

As this is a comedy series, there is no need to say that this show is funny but the important thing to say here is that this show comes with a message in every episode. It takes on Politicians, corrupt government officials and other drawbacks and loopholes in the Indian system showing the dark side of rural India. but on top of that it shows that how the people can be happy beating all these dark issues.

All the performances are awesome in this show. the actors have done complete justice with their characters. Lapataganj's strength lies in its presentation and performances. The maker of this show succeeded in delivering perfect scripts with awesome performances that make the viewers feel entertained and touched.

The humor is very natural and is without laughter tracks. The script is fresh and concepts are really strong. I say this show is awesome and a must watch for all ages. but don't take my word for it watch it yourself and "Papa kasam, you are gonna love this show."
